-Julia turned 10 years old! For her special day she requested Panera bagels for breakfast and ribs with a turtle cheesecake to top it off. Julia received more art supplies and CD audiobooks. She loves to nest in her room with drawing supplies and audiobooks. Julia's close friends this year are Eliana and Leila. She is doing well in school and is a voracious reader. Julia enjoys helping people and she is proud of her piano skills. We are excited to see what this next decade has in store for Julia! We love you.
-In the past couple of months we began a mentoring group led by adult Korean adoptees for kid Korean adoptees. There are 6 mentors and 6 kids currently in the group. The group meets once a month and Julia loves it! The kids came up with their group name- Swag Starters. While the kids and mentors meet, the parents have their own connect and chat time. It has been a good experience for all.
-Isaac played a 3 on 3 basketball tournament with Davis, Isaac L and Reuben and they won their division!
-Nate and I went to a fundraiser gala for Camp Kesem. This camp is for kids whose parents have/had cancer. The camp is free for kids to attend and our friends, the Gornos, have told us how fun and amazing the camp is. After learning more about the camp, Isaac and Julia will also be attending this summer.
-No one is in a sport at the moment, nice to have some down time.
